Care for Bruno, 89: help cover a carer and medication in Rio de Janeiro
Bruno, 89, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,300 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 89. After a diagnosis of dementia Bruno can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Bruno desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Bruno worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $110
• Part-time carer (eight months): $1,050
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $140
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Bruno.
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Thane.
Get well soon. My neighbor in Bologna donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Rio de Janeiro
