Fighting kidney cancer: help Ana afford treatment in Guarulhos
Ana is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Ana was diagnosed with kidney cancer in December. The oncology team at Guarulhos Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Ana is 39, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Guarulhos Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Scans and lab work: $510
• Transport to Guarulhos Regional Medical Center: $240
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $200
• Household costs while unable to work: $450
