10 rounds of treatment are planned at the Islamabad Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Bushra was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at the Islamabad Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Bushra is 34, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Islamabad Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,350 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $230 • Scans and lab work: $135 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $900 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
