Build a wheelchair ramp for Zoe in Tacoma
Zoe uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇺🇸 Tacoma, Washington, United States607 views
Zoe has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Zoe can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Zoe's family will cook lunch for the team.

Sending strength. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from London
Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Lahore but we're thinking of you. God bless.
