Build a wheelchair ramp for Mónica in San Diego

Mónica uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Mónica has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Mónica can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Mónica's family will cook lunch for the team. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

          • Praying for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 25 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
