Save Pepper: Marilyn can't afford the emergency vet
A tabby kitten named Pepper needs emergency surgery - a $950 bill the family can't cover.

Pepper is my tabby kitten of six years. On 23 August we rushed to Peoria Animal Hospital with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $950.
They have stabilized Pepper, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Pepper is more than a pet - Pepper got me through my hardest year. I have already put $210 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Peoria Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $950 goes:
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $240
• Medication and follow-up visits: $120
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $590

Thanks for sharing this, Marilyn. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
