Janet needs a braille note-taker - help us make it happen
Help Janet get a braille note-taker so She can get to the shops and visit friends.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Entebbe Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• braille note-taker: $755
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there, Janet. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope November is when things finally get easier
