Beth needs a lift to the Winston-Salem Dialysis Unit - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to the Winston-Salem Dialysis Unit would keep Beth on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Beth has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Winston-Salem Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Beth can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 10 km each way. Beth is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
