Back to business - Aparecida's comeback in Niterói
Aparecida lost two washing machines and a dryer to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $600 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For four years I have run a laundry service in Niterói. In December, a storm that collapsed the roof took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $150
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $125
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $325
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
