Back to business - Adriana's comeback in Olinda
A tailoring shop in Olinda needs help replacing three industrial sewing machines after a long illness and repossession.
🇧🇷 Olinda, Pernambuco, Brazil1,814 views
For twelve years I have run a tailoring shop in Olinda. In April, a long illness and repossession took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $380
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $130
• Shop repairs and licensing: $80
• Working capital for the first month: $210
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

so sorry you're going through this, Adriana. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up.
Thinking of you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 27 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Olinda.
You're not alone, Adriana. Hope the shop reopens soon. Sent it to 29 people at work. Blessings.
