Kavitha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Rohini Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has said Kavitha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kavitha has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kavitha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Kavitha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Rohini Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
