Back on our feet: Tamaki and three children under 7 in Sakai
After my partner leaving, Tamaki is raising three children under 7 alone and needs $2,350 to stay afloat for 3 months.

Last March I went through my partner leaving, and I'm now raising three children under 7 on my own. I work as a retail cashier, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a dental nurse in the evenings, which will triple my income by June, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Rent top-up: $680
• Childcare and after-school care: $1,000
• Course fees and exam costs: $670
Every share and every dollar helps.

How is Tamaki doing now?
keep going, Tamaki. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tamaki.
Rent top-up is $680 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
hope things get better soon, Tamaki. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps.
Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in Łódź this morning
Stay strong, Tamaki. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 11 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Sakai.
wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless.
