Álvaro received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After the loss of a second income, Álvaro is 2 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the hotel, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Friday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,150.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $810
• First month of rent as a buffer: $290
• Late fees and court costs: $50
Thanks for reading all this.
