Maria was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in July. The surgeon at London University Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,250 short.
my daughter has been in and out of London University Hospital since July. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Maria struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Maria won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
