Acacia Park needs a community garden - Greyson's neighborhood project
A community-led a community garden at Acacia Park that will serve 199 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,400.
It will serve about 199 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Materials: $2,100
• Permits and inspections: $390
• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Tools hire and delivery: $550
