Jimma
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 309 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $100 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $20 • Permits and inspections: $25 • Tools hire and delivery: $55 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Robel
