A youth football pitch for the old Freedom bus depot: help our neighbors in Barcelona
Volunteers in Barcelona are raising $1,150 for a youth football pitch at the old Freedom bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 596 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Materials: $700
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
