Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Wednesday from the back of a community center. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 121 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $65
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $150
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

How is Sameer doing now?
Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Mumbai.
