A youth football pitch for the Jacaranda vacant lot: help our neighbors in Melbourne
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $1,950 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,950.
It will serve about 510 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Tools hire and delivery: $450
