Let's build a playground together in Celaya

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,050. It will serve about 457 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,050 goes: • Materials: $810 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $125 • Tools hire and delivery: $70 Thanks for reading all this. - Inés
