A youth football pitch for Maple Park: help our neighbors in Ciudad de México
Volunteers in Ciudad de México are raising $1,000 for a youth football pitch at Maple Park.
🇲🇽 Mexico422 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 112 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $110
• Materials: $855
Thank you so much.
