A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Yekaterinburg
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Acacia community hall that will serve 209 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 209 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $120
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
