A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Nuremberg
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a youth football pitch - we need $2,800 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,800.
It will serve about 454 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Materials: $2,000
• Permits and inspections: $320
• Safety equipment and signage: $270
• Tools hire and delivery: $210
