Standing with Idowu: prostate cancer treatment costs

Idowu was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at Lagos University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Idowu is 38, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lagos University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
