Coyoacán
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar community hall, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 240 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Permits and inspections: $55 • Materials: $450 • Tools hire and delivery: $145 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Gustavo
