Emergency vet bill for Hazel in Los Angeles
Hazel, Santiago's three-legged dog, needs urgent treatment for pyometra costing $2,450.

Hazel is my three-legged dog of eleven years. On 3 January we rushed to Los Angeles Animal Hospital with pyometra. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $2,450.
They have stabilized Hazel, but the treatment can't wait beyond March.
Hazel is more than a pet - Hazel got me through my hardest year. I have already put $330 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Los Angeles Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Hazel's recovery.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,400
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $570
• Medication and follow-up visits: $260
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $220
