Do you have a laptop collecting dust? Jahid needs one for online coursework.

I'm Jahid, a software engineering student in Southampton. My laptop broke 2 months ago and I've since been writing assignments and sitting online exams on my phone - it's slow, my work gets lost, and I'm falling behind.
I'm looking for a used laptop with at least 8GB of RAM and a working battery, or any laptop that can run a browser and word processor reliably. I can cover shipping if you can send it, or collect in Southampton.
I'll take great care of it and be sure to share how my studies go. If you want to upgrade your own and have an old one in a drawer, you could make a big difference.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Southampton
thanks for sharing this, Jahid. It takes guts to ask. Well done
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope December is when things finally get easier
