Josefina was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Angeles Regional Medical Center recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Angeles Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Josefina struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Josefina won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.

• Travel and lodging for the family: $65
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $280
