A weekly visit for Waseem, 80, who lives alone in Hyderabad
Waseem lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Waseem, who's 80. Waseem lives alone in Hyderabad, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 474 kilometers away.
Waseem loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you for reading my story.

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
Thinking of you, Zara. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update. God bless
