A weekly visit for Liliana, 88, who lives alone in Fresno

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Liliana is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Liliana, who's 88. Liliana lives alone in Fresno, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Liliana loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thank you for reading my story.

  • best of luck, Jameson. I hope things turn around soon. After 25 years in nursing I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best!

    • hang in there. This could happen to any of us. Love from Karlsruhe.

      • hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from San Diego

        • Keep going, Jameson. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update. Blessings

          • wishing you peace, Jameson. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
