A weekly visit for John Paul, 73, who lives alone in Taguig

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all John Paul is asking for.

Taguig
I'm writing for my neighbor John Paul, who's 73. John Paul lives alone in Taguig, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. John Paul loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • You're not alone, Rey. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Taguig.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Taguig.

      • Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Karachi so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Taguig.
