A weekly visit for Javeria, 89, who lives alone in Rawalpindi

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that is all Javeria is asking for.

Rawalpindi
I'm writing for my neighbor Javeria, who's 89. Javeria lives alone in Rawalpindi, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Javeria loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
