I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at Puebla General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,100 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $860 • Fitting and training sessions: $90 • Delivery and set-up: $40 • First-year servicing plan: $110 Please ask me anything in the questions section.       Sure. The biggest one is pair of hearing aids, $860. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
