I'm writing for my neighbor Damilola, who's 93. Damilola lives alone in Ibadan, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 428 kilometers away. Damilola loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Good luck. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings

    • Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Ibadan.

      • Praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
