Help me pay for laparoscopic cyst removal at Manchester Community Hospital
Joyce needs laparoscopic cyst removal at Manchester Community Hospital and the family is $5,550 short of the hospital's estimate.

In July I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Manchester Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $5,550 short.
Doctors at Manchester Community Hospital told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a farm laborer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $8,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a farm laborer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $5,550 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $750
• Post-operative medication: $155
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $370
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,950
• Travel and lodging for the family: $325
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.
Thanks for sharing this, Joyce. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
