A weekly ride to New Delhi Regional Medical Center for Rajiv

A rota of drivers to New Delhi Regional Medical Center would keep Rajiv on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Rajiv has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to New Delhi Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Rajiv can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 21 km each way. Rajiv is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Shreveport this morning. Take care.

      • Hope things get better soon, Supriya. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
