A weekly ride to Duque de Caxias Regional Medical Center for Vanessa
Vanessa needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.

Vanessa has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Duque de Caxias Regional Medical Center alone. After an eyesight problem, Vanessa can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 20 km each way.
Vanessa is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
