Friendly visitor needed for a 77-year-old neighbor in Kakamega
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Wafula is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Wafula, who's 77. Wafula lives alone in Kakamega, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 532 kilometers away.
Wafula loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
