A solar-powered water pump for the Lotus health centre yard: help our neighbors in Karachi

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 323 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $100 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $30 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 Thank you for reading my story.
