Liverpool
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,300. It will serve about 277 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,300 goes: • Permits and inspections: $230 • Materials: $1,750 • Tools hire and delivery: $320 Thanks for reading all this.
