A youth football pitch: a volunteer-led effort in Caloocan
A community-led a youth football pitch at Baobab Primary School that will serve 557 neighbors.
🇵🇭 Philippines1,250 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 557 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
• Materials: $465

Hope things get better soon. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Take care.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rhea
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. permits and inspections comes first ($25) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Happy to explain more.
Thinking of you, Rhea. Looking forward to the next update. I'll check back for the next update. Love from San Jose
Wishing you peace, Rhea. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings.
