A service dog for Uche, an engineering corps veteran in Badagry
An engineering corps veteran in Badagry needs help with a vocational welding course and tools after leaving service with a traumatic brain injury.

I served eight years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2022 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $400.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $400 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $270
• Essential household items: $70
• Transport to appointments: $60
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best, Uche. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
