I served eight years in the air force and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $5,700. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden. Where the $5,700 goes: • Training provider fees: $3,050 • Housing deposit and first month: $1,600 • Transport to appointments: $650 • Essential household items: $400 With deep gratitude, Laura

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($181 in total) I made the first payment toward essential household items. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Quick update: $121 raised so far (2%). I made the first payment toward transport to appointments. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
