Divya served fourteen years in the marines and was discharged in 2023 with a back injury. She has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote comes to $550.
Divya is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $550 goes:
• Essential household items: $70
• Transport to appointments: $75
• Housing deposit and first month: $405
I hope life is good to you.
