Could you drive Irfan to the Bekasi Dialysis Unit on Saturday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.

Irfan has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Bekasi Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Irfan can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 24 km each way. Irfan is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Stay strong, Rizky. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Onitsha but we're thinking of you. Love from Onitsha.

    • Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best

Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Lagos so I could bring a meal.

Thinking of you and your family. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.

Thinking of you and your family, Rizky. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
