Toulon
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 252 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $125 • Safety equipment and signage: $240 • Permits and inspections: $285 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Théo

  • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Ciudad de México this morning. Thinking of Toulon.
