A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Freedom community hall that will serve 530 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 530 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $750 goes:
• Materials: $570
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
Thank you so much.

Take care. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Liverpool
is there anything that isn't money that would help Sevgi?
