A sensory garden for children with autism: a volunteer-led effort in Uberlândia
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $1,100 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 94 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,100 goes:

• Permits and inspections: $85
• Safety equipment and signage: $135
• Tools hire and delivery: $140
