A repair café workshop for the Harmony vacant lot: help our neighbors in Berlin
Volunteers in Berlin are raising $1,850 for a repair café workshop at the Harmony vacant lot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,850.
It will serve about 133 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $450
• Materials: $1,100
• Tools hire and delivery: $300
