San Antonio
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $4,050. It will serve about 505 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $4,050 goes: • Materials: $2,850 • Permits and inspections: $350 • Safety equipment and signage: $350 • Tools hire and delivery: $500 Thank you so much. - Patricia

Hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Madina.
